About the event

HOPEExposing yourself to hope in real time.

The works presented in the collective exhibition " Hope "  sing of beauty, life and death. Like a mosaic pavement, they jump from black to white, always flirting with shades of color and interstices. Sometimes opportunely excessive, they evoke the approach of desire and hope and probe the way in which we apprehend the rare blue skies that have been playing hide and seek with us for so long.

In the two houses separated by an exotic garden, the works presented follow one another in a marked path of multidisciplinary creations.

" Hope " invites visitors to get lost in the color, movement, bodies and materials worked by the artists._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_  But the works of hope  of the 9 exhibiting artists are perhaps a subtle, disorderly and fragile trompe-l'oeil, far removed from banal blissful optimism. To return rather with caution to all the uncertainties that hide in the three participatory art installations offered to visitors. To confront them with an open questioning on the notion of hope and on the artistic gestures encountered during the exchanges initiated on site with the artists. The intention is clear : to approach individually and collectively the notion of hope through questioning and free, but encouraged sensations.

" Hope " wishes to include audiences in its desire to probe a contemporary reality understood as a set of effects and affects, far from imposing a strict definition of the truth of art or of today's society which would be assimilated to a great whole which is quite impossible to incorporate.

On the program from February 17 to March 12 at the Maison Commune, 81 rue Mercelis in Ixelles ?

9 artists expose themselves to hope alongside the public!
